Pure Arrogance:
I love when people who know less about their favorite team than I do sit and talk about sports in front of me. I’m just like… no. The Jets’ issue isn’t their second wide receivers, it’s the aura that the coach projects around his team. also. don’t say “Robert Griffin III shouldn’t have won the Heisman.” That’s a joke. He should be the...

The end of "Area 51" - Landry signs with Jets
crankyredskins: Remember when we were so excited about the Redskins secondary that we dubbed Sean Taylor & LaRon Landry “Area 51?” Today. with Landry signing with the Jets, that era is officially over. Not sure any Redskins fans will really miss Landry, but we all mourn that missed opportunity (times two). I will never forget those two drafts. Sean’s brought me to the Redskins....

Peyton Manning is a Bronco.
The Jets, Jaguars, Dolphins, and Packers have reportedly already made trade offers for Tim Tebow. Is there actually a good fit for him outside of Denver? I think he’d be best served staying there and learning from Peyton.

Apparently, I could be an NBA GM too.
Someone call Jay-Z. I just mastered the Nets’ cap space, made a lottery draft plan, went through the free agents, deduced the price of each restricted free agent, then came up with two teams. One with Deron Williams resigning and one with Deron Williams leaving. The one without D-Will has $12.4 million in cap space left AFTER the team. The one with him has $6 million.

Praise be to the gods! May I, for once, commend Dan Snyder on his work in free agency. Happy Bruce is happy! We signed a Hurricane! To play safety.. Hm.

Congratulations to Megatron
Make your money good sir. This maybe be the first time in one offseason where I can say two players are fully deserving of all the money they got in their INSANE extensions. Calvin Johnson Jr and Arian Foster. Well done, guys. You both deserve it. Keep it up.

I’d say money well spent, to be honest. And I don’t mind cuts to get money for RG3. But I want to grab a defensive back. We ARE losing LaRon Landry.

alaasnflanalysis asked: Hey, just wanna give you props for calling the Garcon move. Smart pick-up. Still in need for a #3 though. WR Laurent Robinson is a good contender for that in my eyes. Thoughts?

Is Robert Griffin III worth everything the Redskins gave up for him? What do you think of the Jets’ contract extension to Mark Sanchez? First, RG3: Now, I’m a Redskins fan, so I have two answers to this. I’m also a big believer in stock-piling draft picks, so obviously that was my first issue. I like Robert Griffin III, he’s fast, he’s athletic, he’s got an...

Dan Snyder should hire me as Redskins GM.
I just made a 10 free agent and 3 rookie shopping list, based on their salaries, and kept it under $45 million. and in it, included the top free agent guard and possibly top free agent corner. and two other offensive linemen, two other defensive backs, two wide receivers (not named Vincent Jackson), a running back, and defensive tackle. maybe I watched too much Moneyball. I’ll post the list in...

This is their third straight poor game. At least this time it’s against a quality opponent. They’re supposedly the number one overall seed no matter what. We’ll see what that gets them.

Manning Sweepstakes
Now that the Jets have resigned Mark Sanchez, and the Redskins have acquired the number two pick, it seems they’re out of the Manning race. I think Cleveland may now take a shot, having lost out in RG3, but I think Miami, Arizona, and Kansas City are all that’s really left. I think Denver isn’t gonna get him. In my opinion, he’d be best served going to Arizona. Miami...

nfloffseason: In a pre-draft blockbuster trade, the St. Louis Rams have agreed in principle to send the second overall pick in this year’s draft to the Washington Redskins for three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick, according to a source in Cleveland familiar with the terms of the deal. Update: Nice job by Jay Glazer, who had the initial report. Here are the details he shared:...

My Sales Pitch to (Peyton Manning) Reggie Wayne.
Reggie. You are a quick, though not overpoweringly fast wide receiver. In my opinion you fit the perfect mold of receiver. You have some of the most reliable hands in all of football. Here, in Washington, you’re what we’re lacking at the position. We have have our big, possession receiver, Leonard Hankerson. We have our ultra-fast down field threat, Santana Moss. Now we just need you....

NBA MVP, Trade Deadline, and Going Dancing!
Every time a player has a great game, one great game, he’s immediately deemed “in MVP talks”. “Does (so and so) deserve to be the MVP?” Truthfully, probably not. Who will be the MVP? Kevin Durant or LeBron James. Should either of them be? No. Are they great players? TOTALLY. Are they so valuable that their team would crumble without them? Ask Chris Bosh (note: Heat...

Before I really dive into this “Mock Draft” and such world, I’m going to explain things to you all about me from a football standpoint. Firstly, I’m a huge believer in statistics, but I’ll be the first to judge rookies by the eye test.  Secondly, I believe defense wins championships, but I don’t see a need to draft defensive players in the top ten (minus some exceptions, like the safety that...

Two-hand touch, "Steeler football", and no more...
Apparently, former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams had a bounty system in place for big hits, knockouts, interceptions, and fumble recoveries. It also came out that when he was the DC in Washington, as well as the Head Coach in Buffalo, he had the same system in place. That’s just so appalling, and I can’t believe anyone would pay someone to hurt another player...

hello there, everyone.
This is my first post, to kind of cover everything this blog is going to be about.  More or less, sports are my passion. I live to talk, and argue, about sports. I’ll start off by saying that I am, in no way, fully objective. I have favorite teams, they’ll get more attention, BUT I will not treat arguments about them (pro or con) in a different manner. So everyone is prepared,...
